• Ensuring that regional spend of £200-£300 M is compliant to the company’s Procurement standards and managed with minimal risk.
Leadership Responsibilities:
While the role will have no direct reports, the individual will have to lead and influence
• Key business and stakeholder to ensure full engagement and support
• A cross functional and multi business unit team to develop and implement strategic category strategies
• Local/regional procurement team members – to coach and guide in effective strategic procurement
A member of the Asia Pac Procurement leadership team as required and support the Head of Procurement’s in their leadership activities.
Purpose of Role:
This role will be responsible driving 3 agendas: Logistics, Risk and Governance, CAPEX
1.Manage Asia Pac Logistics and Capex spend and work closely with global categories team for alignment while leveraging regional opportunities
2. Lead, drive and execute the Global Procurement Risk and Governance agenda by deployment of initiatives, policies and procedures, whilst aligning with local market strategies.
Top 3-5 Accountabilities:
• Manage and achieve / exceed the Procurement performance targets set for Asia Pac
• Accountable for the developing and implementing strategic category strategies that fully leverage LCCS opportunities in China
• Ensure effective supplier relationships are developed with key suppliers in Asia Pac
• Coordinate the application of Supplier Continuity, manage a consistent supplier qualification and ongoing assurance process
• Drive the regional understanding of the reputational risk from unethical activities in our Supply Chain and drive the Sustainable Procurement agenda in line with the company’s overall longer-term objectives.
Qualifications and requirements:
• Degree educated with minimum 5 years’ Procurement experience in an FMCG environment or other relevant industry
• A excellent working knowledge of Procurement and its’ processes, specifically from the Procurement Capability framework, this will be strengths in;
• Category/Sourcing strategy development
• Supplier Performance Management
• Contract Management
• Corporate Social Responsibility
• Risk Management
• Business Partner engagement
• Communication
Proven track record of delivery in challenging business environments and ability to engage and influence a wide range of senior stakeholders.
Previous experience of working in developing economies would be an advantage.
